I say from what I've seen and heard over the last 5 years I've had my
Dakotas, have him bite the bullet and get the V8, you give up very little
fuel mileage (if your foots not trying to stretch the firewall) and you'll
have better results for anything you may want to pull later. A papmered 318
Dak should get very good mileage, and I barely get over 20mpg with a 2.5L.
