The clips you are referring to, are those the things on the lugs? if so those are long gone. Thanks

        If you've never taken them off before, you'll need to take the clips off of
        the studs first, but yes, you'll need to adjust them in a little bit to aide
        in removing the drum. Crack it with a mallet and it should come free with
        minimal effort.
