well originally I thought my broken t-stat was the cause. the t-stat was
stuck open making the engine colder. i ran it for a day or two with the
t-stat like that. but i 'warmed it up' for 10 minutes before driving. i had
to, no choice. :-( so today i replaced the t-stat but the oil pressure is
still lower than i remember.
now:
idle - oil indication is below operating range ( sits just above the "L"
!!)
2000 - 3000 rpm oil pressure climbs to 11:30 ( almost noon )
before:
idle - lowest end of operating range
2000 - 3000 rpm right about 12 noon straight up.
any ideas??? did i do some serious damage with the engine being cooler
or is it just a bad filter or something. last oil change was 3500 miles.
oil level is correct.
