These trucks are notorious about battery failures and that can and often
does cause the computer to loose memory about idle speed, transmission
shifting etc. However it should not prevent it from starting. First try a
new fully charged battery, not a jump start and you may have to press light
ly on the accellerator pedal but do not floor it while cranking. If the
engine does not try to start within 15 seconds there could be a blown fuse
or faulty relay preventing the fuel pump from running.
