Ok, this is kinda offtopic, but who on the list that will be attending the
BBQ plays paintball??? I was thinking that if there was enough interest
that perhaps we could organize a nice game (or games) of paintball in Jon's
forest... He's given us permission to coat the forest in multicolor splats
already so it's only a question of who would like to give this a shot.
I did some research and found that a CO2 tank can be rented fairly cheaply
so that we may refill our cylinders when we run out. Also, paintballs are
available rather cheaply at your local K-Mart/Walmart or sporting goods
store so if you're interested then you just need to bring what you want to
shoot. The only requirements are that you would need to bring your own
paintball marker (gun) because they aren't available to rent anywhere but at
a paintball arena, and make sure you have a facemask with goggles!!!
Paintballs can explode your eyes and eardrums making you go blind and/or
deaf!!!
I think that this could potentially be a great addition to the fun
atmosphere of the BBQ if enough people decide that they want to join in. I
know that the DML is a really diverse group, so I'm sure that some of you
play paintball already... you need to come to the BBQ now!!! This is just
an idea, let me know what you think about this, if you're interested so that
plans can be made and supplies procured.
