The mistake I made was not just getting the bill of sale, and taking it to
my CU to start with........

I finally just decided to go to my CU after the dealer screwed around for 2
weeks trying to get a loan approved that made sense.........

Trouble was, they had already put me in the Dakota while trying to get
financing.

I'd been driving it for 2 weeks without having the financing approved when
the dealer called telling me we had a problem.

I had to go back to the dealer, get a proper bill of sale done that I could
take to my CU..........

24 hours later my CU handed me a check for the balance owed on ithe Dak.

I took it to the dealer who was trying to get me to sign for the ludicrous
loan that they had gotten approved for 15%, I'd guess that someone was
getting a big commission on that loan.....

you all should'a seen the look on the woman's face when I told her the loan
was insane and that I'd just pay cash instead

......and handed her the check!

of course I paid that loan off in 8 months after I sold my '68 Charger.....
