As Chad said, all trucks '96 and newer do not have an EGR valve. This is
because '96 is the year the switch was made from OBD-I to OBD-II, and I
guess OBD-II is better-able to control the emissions, and no EGR is needed.
If you did have EGR, there would be a tube bolted on to your passenger-side
exhaust manifold that heads back up to the intake manifold.
