Ok everyone , this question is for the people that work at a body shop or
have accsess to paint code/paint chip books/paint formulas....

Is there any relation between the paint codes and the names of the color
shades of them for example:
if you look at say chrysler paint code PR1(Exotic red) used 89-90 then you
look at PR5 (Graphic Red) used in 1984 then look at PR4 Flame Red (used
94-01). does it mean PR1 is brighter than PR4 & PR5??

basiclly what im getting at does the code go with the shade of the paint or
or the name? PR4 is called Graphic Red, Poppy Red and,Flame Red but used in
diffrent years. is it the same paint formula or what??? anyone have a
clue???

I hoped i asked it correctly...if you dont understand what im getting at
please ask me to re-explain...
