Thanks, Bob! I didn't know I won anything until last night when Tom
Mize e-mailed me to let me know I got 1st! I took the convertible -
its a white truck so it doesn't show the dirt too much, which is a
good thing since I didn't even bother to wash it first. ;-) I did
get lucky though being the only convertible on the fun field. :-)
I was very happy with the Dak's performance over the weekend. It
can be a bit tricky to start out in 1st or reverse from a stop (it
can easily start to chatter unless I hit it just right - maybe it
needs a new clutch). Anyway, it performed flawlessly on the ~800
mile trip down and back. I got 23.5mpg on the way down at 65mph
and 21.9mpg on the way back at 75mph. I went about halfway with
the top down on both trips - sure was a lot of fun cruising through
the PA hills with the wind blowing through my hair. :-) Slowed
down a bit going up some of the hills, but not too bad. This is
a premag V6 with around 160,000 miles on it.
