I haven't quite decided as yet. I have no problems going up through Canada,
but I requested a passport (for ease of entry/exit) and have STILL not
received it yet. "It'll take 6 - 8 weeks." MY A$$, 6 - 8 WEEKS, is't been
9 already! The problem with this is that I gave them my only certified copy
of my birth certificate. Depending on wether my parents have a certified
copy or not I may just decide to take I-90 all the way rather than chance
adding a few hours onto my trip having to make the trek from the canadian
border back down to I-90 to come around all the lakes. Now, Jon has told me
that he's only had to use a driver's license to get in/out of the
US/canada - even recently, but I'd just rather be safe than sorry. I'd
rather attempt a border crossing on the way back where it's only a short
distance that I'd have to backtrack or improvise for. Make sense?

Oh, and the fastest that I've made it to the detroit city limits from
chicago (taking I-94 all the way) is just about 4 hours. That was
travalling at over 90mph the whole way without any stops for any reason.
(it's a one tank trip to detroit for me) Also, if we're taking I-94 to the
canadian border we'll be passing Sawyer, MI we would definately have to stop
at The Lion's Den at least one of the ways.
