To be on the safe side, I'd recommend ordering before the middle of
February.

In the Rams, both engines use the same 545RFE transmission (same as
you'd get on the 4.7L in the Dak). The 5.7 won't fit into a current Dak
without some severe bodyword.

Get the 3.92s. As Punch said, the 3.55s are good for gas mileage and
getting to high speed, whereas the 3.92s give you more grunt (by putting
the engine higher in the RPM range for a given speed).

Now, in theory you'll get lower gas mileage with the 3.92 than the 3.55,
but my '03 QC 4x4 3.92 4.7L manual gets gas mileage equal to or better
than my '99 CC 4x4 3.55 318 auto.

The 233 is part-time 4WD (4WD only for wet/slippery surfaces, no
differential between the front & rear axles), the 244 is full-time 4WD
(or all wheel drive), no 2WD option at all.
