I didn't say it was necessarily safer, I said that it was bigger. Metros
and Jettas are about the same size, while a Cavalier, Stratus, or Sunfire is
quite a bit larger.
As I said, I just feel that (thanks to more metal), I have a better chance
of surviving a crash with some crazy semi driver in one of the above cars
than I do in a VW, any VW (save maybe the new Touareg), or a Geo.
