It's really not a bad idea to get another dog (or two). Not at all to
"replace" your loss, as that's something that can never happen. If
you can adopt a dog, there's a certain amount of love that is
instantly there because you've "saved" a dog. That's how it was with
my dog and now everyone in the family is attached to that bugger.
Incidentally, it's also the reason why I can't go to a shelter without
feeling the need to take something home.
Anyway, that's my little rant. Whatever you decide to do, please know
that you have my warmest sympathies. I'm sure that I speak for
everyone on the list with that as well.
