eek. you're right - Interco's TSL/Bogger Radial 31 x 9.5 is actually
30.7 x 7.2! more than two inches... which ass do they pull those
numbers out of? wow.
the 34 x 9.5 is almost as bad at 33.8 x 8
however the bias ply Swamper TSL in 34 x 10.5 form on either a 16" or
17" rim is 33.6 x 9.25 or 33.8 x 9.3 (respectively). that's more like
I was expecting the narrow tire to be.
since it'll never see pavement for any stretch, I can live with the
stronger and better-tied-down sidewall of a bias ply....
now to find 17 x 8 steel rims in 6 on 4.5 is another story altogether.
anyone know any rim shops I could call to see how many pennies I'd have
to save to have that happen? or maybe I'd be better off swapping
hubs.....
it would mean no R/T rims for my daily driver all terrains, but if I
bet I could get 8 17x7 or 17x8 rims and make hubs happen to fit them
for the same price as having rims made. Since Expeditions roll on
17x7s, and so many get pimped, I bet those rims are all over....
I'm glad I've got time to plan this out. funny how time is money, but
lack of money makes time =)
