Depends My rates went up when I renewed last time. But let's review
what happened there:
October - Accident, my fault
December - Turned 25
February - Renewed coverage while switching trucks. New truck has a
different classification carrying a higher premium anyway.

So if your accident status doesn't change, and you have the same
vehicle, it may well drop. From March 1999 (age 21) to February 2003
(age 25), I had my '99 and kept the same policy/coverage the whole time,
and my rates didn't change more than a couple bucks a month.

Accidents stay on your record for 40 months (at least in NY). I'm 25%
of the way through it now.

I'm with Geico right now, hoping to check into Erie real soon.
