We looked at the Cherokee also but my wife spotted a black Liberty Renegade
and once she drove it, it was all over. She really likes it. I am looking
at a 4x4, 5.9 Durango SLT with 29k miles to add to our collection also.

Get the V8 (4.7). No tranny problems that I'm aware of. A friend just
bought an '02 Grand Cherokee Limited with the 4.7 HO and 20,000 miles for
$25,000.
That truck stickered for over $38,000. If you buy used you can get some
good
deals.
