Hi Mike
I have a 2k V6 CC 2wd auto that does everything you mention just fine.
There may be one time a year, if that, with my useage when more engine might
be desired. It gets a consistent 21mpg on straight freeway driving and 19 in
mixed traffic and some cruise control. The motor is basically strong, has been
in production a long time, is not very hi tech which avoids what can be, in
some cases, cause for messy little problems. Maintenance requirements are
modest, for a truck with a 1500# cargo capacity it has a decent ride and handling,
front brakes tend to be a weak point however there are simple replacement
products available to totally solve that. Find out the mileage to date and ask
for a maintenance/service record. If you're in a zone that gets winter rock
salt, check carefully for rust, since it's a 4x4, look underneath for evidence
of severe off road useage.
