 From what I have heard, the Silver Stars don't last very long -
definitely not as long as a $20 light bulb should IMHO.

I picked up the 2-pack of GE 9007HO bulbs at Wal-Mart for under $19 and
while they're not daylight they are noticably better than the OEM bulbs.
  I had them in my '99 as well for over 2 years (closer to 3 maybe?) and
they didn't burn out.
