Ok. I've seen this topic many times before on the list and completely
ignored it because I never thought I'd tow anything. However, I may be
moving to MA in a month or so and I am considering renting one of this lil
Uhaul trailers to move myself. My question is can I really tow something
with just the bumper? Is that considered a class 1 hitch? Also, I suppose I
need to hook up some wiring for trailer lights or something. The trailer I
was looking at is the 5' X 8' trailer. Some specs on that:

Empty weight: 900 lbs
Max load: 1,800 lbs
Maximum Gross Weight (trailer plus load): 2,700 lbs
Tow hitch required: Class 1 (2,000 lb. minimum rating)
Hitch ball: 1 7/8, 2 or 2 1/8 (2,000 lb. minimum)

I don't think I'll be loading anywhere close to 1,000 lbs into the trailer.
The heaviest thing I have is my TV. Which might be 150 lbs. 200 tops. The
rest will be clothes, small furniture, and electronics. So I might not even
top 500 lbs. loaded into it.

I suppose I could comb the archives, but I am super lazy and I know you
guys love to talk about what you know. So hit me with it! :D
