they'll probably lighten the frame a little (maybe get it back to Gen II
weight, while still keeping the stiffness) and widen the truck to accept
some of the durango sheetmetal. however, it might be difficult to wedge
that HEMI in there. i don't doubt that if there is a performance version,
it'll be a 4.7HO or maybe a supercharged version.

I wonder if this "carrying over" means that it's not getting the new
hydroformed (read: lighter) frame? Not that the weight will matter much if
it comes out looking like the new Durango :(
