Kinda reminds me of a day out with my old '84 Daytona.. same scene, was
stopped at a light and looked up in my mirror to see a nova flying over the
railroad tracks (becoming airborne) and then slamming into the back of me.
As I recovered from the jolt I looked back into my mirror and saw the hood
of his car bent up blocking most of his windshield and proceeding to get
smaller and then turn down a side street. I slammed her in first and took
off after him but never was able to get up much speed due to the fact that
my exhaust was almost completely crimped flat by the bumper being bent down.
And as with yours it was just the bumper and the mounts bent, even though
the tail lights now stuck out about 4 inches past what was left of the
bumper, they were untouched.
As for the original story of the thread.. glad everyone was ok.
