Oh, one more tidbit....

The initial estimate is usualy 10-20% off. So the bill could come out to
$9000-$9500 and the insurance company won't bat an eye. But if there is
more damage discovered...the shop will call the adjuster to have him look at
it, and issue an authorization for the additional time/material costs.

A final thought...unibody frames are a piece of art, they can be repaired
easily without comprimising the integrity of the frame. The old wisetail of
once a frame is bent the vehicle is junk is just that, a wisetail. Hell, my
frame has been bent so many times it's not funny....but I still drive it as
much or more than before. It's the driver that makes a vehicle truly safe
(thank god i'm just plain lucky)
