Something to keep in mind here guys! An oil filter only has one function and
that is to filter dirt out of the oil. You can not make an assessment of the
filters ability to do that by cutting it opening and looking at how it's
constructed. You can certainly see differences in construction but how they
actually perform is not one of the items you can deermine.

My recomendation is buy what ever you feel comfortable with and not worry about
other peoples opinions. I for one purchase what ever is on sale when I need
them. I also up size the filter where ever I can, I figure the extra oil
capacity and filter media can only be a good thing. I use a PH43 size filter on
the Dakota, this filter is about 1/2" longer than the PH16 size filter that is
listed.
