Re: RE: Leaf Spring TSB Detail?

Thanks Bernd.

Appreciate the help. I'm really peeved with the dealer this time. In the
past I had generally good service except for the tranny which I told
them wasn't right within a minth of buying the truck and it took them
60K miles to realize I was right.

This time I was in a hurry to pick up the truck and they billed me for
several items that I thought they shouldn't have. I went home and
checked my file for the details of my extended warranty. Couldn't find
anything so I had to have Chrysler send me one. Sure enough, most of the
items they billed me for were covered.

1. Cruise not functioning - diagnosis broken wire in steering column -
cruise and wiring harness both covered under Chrysler Gold plan

2. Tailgate latch fails to lock - dealer lubed and charged me - still
fails to catch on first try - latches specifically covered under
warranty - maybe an out because lubrication isn't, but then again it's
still not fixed.

3. Leaf spring noise - sounds similar to the TSB - should have been covered.

Funny thing was it was the service manager who handled this visit.
Usually the service advisors are better. Maybe his bottom line is
getting a bit tight?
