how to set tire pressure for odd sized tires (for Mike)

Mike, I had to go through this dance with my 325's. The easiest way I
found to do it, might be difficult for you to do, now, in the great
white north. (lol) It's simple, really. Find a stretch of concrete
with either puddles and dry spots, or better yet, dry with salt or
comcrete dust on it. Air your (vigorously cleaned) tires up too much
(40 psi or so) and drive forward so you can observe the dust that the
tread picks up (or the pattern of water from the wet tread) on the FRONT
tires. You will notice that the edges of the tire aren't contacting
the ground. Let air out in 1 pound increments. When you have full
contact in the front, go down 1 more pound, and that's your pressure for
all 4. The rears will still pooch up a bit, but when you rotate them,
that will counteract the (extra) edge wear that you get on the fronts.
I have almost 40k on my 31x14.50 BFG's with no discernable cupping or
feathering.

....which reminds me of another question I was going to ask. can
anyone
give any pointers for determining optimal tire pressure? ...
