False! At least on my '92. Checked a scanner printout from a run at the
track and my battery voltage was higher during the WOT portion than it was
during burnout and staging. My electric fans and underdrive pullies pull
the batt voltage down a bit below 800 rpm so it's easy to see the voltage
increase at WOT.
