a free piece of cardboard will do the trick just the same, just block
about 1/2.....

I have a relatively short drive to/from work (8 miles) and don't get

in-cab heat until about 3 miles down the road (if I'm lucky). And
winter hasn't really gotten here yet. I'm thinking about getting some

grille inserts to help the engine get up to temperature quicker (link
below). Is there a certain temperature point above which I shouldn't
use them? Are they only good for extreme cold?
