My wife was coming home from work one snowy day about 8 years ago in our 89
Dakota 4x4 when a woman coming the other way had a brain fart and cut right in
front of her to get into a package store parking lot. The Toyota the other
woman was driving hit my wife at about a 45 degree angle dead center on the
Dakota, my wife never even had a chance to hit the brakes. Anyway, the bumper,
grill, AC condenser and radiator were damaged on the Dakota (not drivable
because of the coolant leak), no damage to any painted or structural parts. The
nose of the Toyota was crushed back to the windshield, the roof and rear
quarter panels had buckled, the only sheet metal not damaged was the trunk lid.
Luckly no one was hurt but the toyota driver had to wait for the fire
department to cut her out of her car.
