I dunno - probably just a cooincidence. Take a look at the
*real* Chrysler 300C:

(The 300 coming out now should probably, technically be named
the 300N) Anyway, I suspect they were probably shooting to
try and emulate the 300s of the late 50s. I will admit though
that the 300 is rather "Bentleyesque"
I kind've like the 300C, though the concept was much more
evil looking - I love the "scowling headlights" look of
the concept (http://www.chrysler300site.com/cgibin/history.cgi?hemi)
Speaking of the 300, I was flipping through the channels
and caught a few seconds worth of that "Cribs" show on MTV -
They were profiling some annoying, cookie cutter rappers with
their hummers and bentleys, etc. (I have no idea who they were,
I didn't catch that part.) Anyway, the last car they showed
was a 300C! (Decked out with stupid looking rims of course.)
Anyway... What the heck? Not only did they hijack the culture
but they get to buy our cars before they are publicly available
too??? How does that work? :-P
