For what its worth, I had a small leak (Mobil1) and found out if I
filled the oil level up to where it registered midway , instead of full
on the dipstick it would not leak.

I'm just expressing my opinion from my experience.I had a bad leak in the
front of my pan shortly after I started using synthetic.I replaced the
gasket and it still continued to leak.I then switched back to dino and the
leak stopped.Lets just call it an "Act of God".
