well, there's driving a long ways, and then there's what you do it for.
hitting performance world from wisconsin is just nuts....

such are the trials and tribulations of living in NY and MN =)

let's see here. May '99 with exactly 24000 on it, and it had been in
service since Jan '98. I'm on the threshold of 110000 now, in march
'04. not quite 5 years for 86000 miles. That makes for just under
1500 miles per month, or just under 18k per year (that's using 4 years
10 months, as opposed to 5 years). I'm actually putting on miles
faster than the original leasor - that averages out to a hair over
1400/month - and I was pretty impressed with that milage for a 17 month
old truck =)

I'm piling them on faster than I thought I was.... though I'd bet
those numbers wouldn't be nearly as high as they are now if I'd
checked, say, 8 months ago. instead of my usual summer + christmas
drives home, I stayed the summer in rochester (meaning fewer miles) but
then drive all the way home and back at the end (christine's return) of
august, then thanksgiving, and christmas (though that was 700 miles
short of it's usual length), and spring break just now, so it was 8
1000 mile trips instead of the usual 4.

<g>

I like driving.
