That was me, and my previous statement stands. I'm quite meticulous about
my truck and i take VERY good care of it, do all my maintenence when it's
required and everything. I don't abuse the truck, but I do autocross race
it regularly and feel that the trans should stand up to that better than it
has. I've never neutral dropped it and I wait until I'm completely stopped
before shifting from drive to reverse and vice-versa.

People who know me know that I don't abuse my dakota, and don't beat on it.
It is possible that sometimes stuff just breaks. Maybe I got a lesser
quality trans from the factory, and the rebuild that was installed under
warranty wasn't that great either. That DOES happen you know. Do a quick
search of the archives if you don't believe me. Perhaps next time, you
should get a little more backrgound information before you decide to call
someone an idiot on a public forum.
