Thanks guys for all your help. I did change the belly pan gasket,
re-installed everything, and it made no difference in the backfire or the
pinging. I am at a loss. I can't find a mechanic that will touch it. I have
not been to the Dodge service department yet, but I guess that's where I'll
go next.
