Torque Converters, TransGo and gas mileage

i recently installed a 2400 stall torque converter from APS, a trans-go kit, and
replaced an overdrive planet gear that was only slightly worn. (could have left the old
one in but decided to get a new one ). And had all the soft-parts replaced with
BorgWarner bands, clutches etc.

I was about 13.9 MPG and now i am at 15.6 MPG on average.

Driving for me is 95% highway. With just a little stop-n-go traffic ( 5 mins )

Same gas as always. It's a '92 V8 Club Cab

Can anyone explain? Did the efficiency of transmission get better?

( p.s. i am NOT complaining !! LOL )
