I can't speak to the Daimler's prowess in the engine department, but if
you doubt what the Germans can do as far as getting power out of an
engine, look no futher than Porsche. Way over 100hp/L out of many of
their engines.
Making big power in a big block is one thing. Making 450HP in a 3.5L
6-cylinder is quite another.
For that matter, check out the Mitsu Evo and Subbie WRX STi. 300HP out
of a 4-banger is damn good.
