  I can't think of any reason why a body lift wouldn't work on a
2wd. As you said, it would actually be easier than on a 4wd due to
no transfer case linkage issues. You would still need to address a
few items of course, like the shifter linkage, fan/shroud/radiator
clearance, and the cosmetic items like bumper relocation and
frame/wheelwell fillers.
