I attended the annual event in Carlisle this year and every year it just
get's BIGGER and BETTER!
I was able to get a Good look at Bill White's 95 Dakota CC that's powered by
a 408 KRC Performance
Stroker, this Dakota is is one of the Best Gen-II Dakota's I have seen. Bill
managed to build a Powerful, Classy, and Tastefully Done Dakota!
His use of a single color paint scheme, choice of rims and tire size, and
the stance the Dakota has with the choice of tire size and suspension
lowering method really set's this truck in a class by itself.
The only Dakota notable by it's not being there was Greg's Gen-II V6,
hopefully Greg will have it ready for next year, Greg himself was there on
Friday and it was a pleasure to talk with him on what he was planning for
his V6.
There was a large number of Dakota's in the modified class, and all were
excellent examples of what the owner/builder was after.
There was a Very Large number of R/T's, HEMI Ram's,Durango's and it made for
a challenge to look them all over while trying Not to Cook in the
Sun!....LOL
Dodge had a '05 Dakota Quad Cab,4.7 HO, AWD on display and I had a chance to
look it over and Snap a few digital photo's of it. .......it's a NICE
looking Truck with a lot of the NEW Durango's interior being a carry over to
the NEW Dakota.........it NEEDS a 5.7 Hemi!
A Good time was had by all I think and if you've never been to this event
it's a definite must do for any Chrysler Fan..
