On the timing chain: you will need a special tool. A harmonic dampener
puller and a gear puller. You can buy them inexpensively or rent from at a
local auto part store. Basically pull the radiator (for room), remove the
fan and other accessories (A/C will lift and lay over - so no need to
refill). remove waterpump, remove pulley and dampener. There's the timing
cover. Remove it and the timing cahin is in your face. Have the engine at
TDC before removing the chain!!!

On the plenum gasket: remove airhat, open TB Butterflies all the way, peer
down into the cavern with a flashlight. If there is a PUDDLE of oil the
gasket is shot. A bunch of soot and "some" oil moisture will be normal, but
not a 1/4" of oil at the bottom.
