Day 4 or 5 of the timing chain swap...
Anyone know how to get the hard return line out of the water pump? The FSM
just says to remove it (duh), but no more details. I seem to have made the
mistake of deciding to replace the water pump as long as I was doing the
timing chain and it was off anyway. I've got the new pump already
installed, so I really don't want to yank it off and re-do all the gaskets
just to put the old pump back on.
So far, the only good news is that it looks like replacing the timing chain
won't be a waste of time and parts. Gobs of slack in the old one...
