Probably depends on the circumstances involved, and the owner
can have some input into the situation also. Neil Bellenger (green
CC 4x4) had exactly that done - I believe he referred to it as a
"frame off restoration" ;-) It sounded like a relatively painless
process, with waiting for a replacement airbag being the longest
part of the ordeal.
