Reversing the rotation will depend on the particular tires you are
using. If a tire is designed to rotate in only one direction, it will
have an arrow on it (showing the rotation direction) and usually a
warning also (or at least the word "rotation" or "rotation direction"
next to the arrow (this will all be molded right into the rubber).
Naturally, if your tires are unidirectional, this will dictate a
rotation pattern of swapping fronts and rears only. However, if your
tires are not of this type, most owner's manuals I have seen seem to
recommend rotating in an X pattern, though I do not recall if the
fronts cross to the rear or the rears cross to the front. (I'm not
sure if it makes a difference; I guess I would tend to want to cross
the fronts to the rear so that the rears just move up so that you
only have to deal with the one variable of different tires on the
front, rather than having different tires up there which are also
spinning in the direction opposite to what they were used to. The
rear of the vehicle is generally more forgiving so I'd cross to the
rear... (This reasoning is just off the top of my head though, if
someone else has a manufacturer recommended reason to cross the
rears to the front, then listen to them instead.) :-)
