Definitely a good possibility - what Steve posted.

Check the basics first before installing the new harness and, if you found
some corroded wires, cut that section out and solder/shrink-tube a new piece
in (much less expensive than a new harness). BTW, most all warehouses have
that harness in stock and there are quite a few dealerships around the US
with it in stock. List price is $76.50.

You neglected to say what truck you had but I may still be able to help. I
had a 92 that kept blowing the 10amp giving me a brake and antilock light on

the dash.Needless to say my brake lights didn't work. The fix for it was the

brake lamp switch on the pedal. It had a short in it causing the fuse to
blow. Hope this helps.
