A good tune-up, and check the cat for it being plugged up (a new O2 sensor
wouldn't hurt either if it has over 60K miles on it).

Subject: DML: 1999 3.9 V6 SLT 4x4 Performance Problem

My girlfriend's truck seems to have highway problems. 0-30 in the city
is fine, it's the getting up to 55 and above that sucks. It strains
like hell to get up there, and I almost have to keep the pedal mashed to
keep it at a sustained rate of speed.

Actually the last time it was at the dealer they gave us a $1000
estimate for general maintenance becuase scheduled maint hasn't been
done at all from what I can tell. (she never has time, it's too
expensive, or she'll get her dad to do it...he hasn't) I would do it
myself but my skills are computer based, not automotive.

Anybody have any ideas how to bring this trunk back to life?
