R/Ts can haul trailers and the mail ;-)

It might be easier to get the bed and axle to meet up due to the spring
rating.

Onto the original question. Go to a local auto store and get the harness
connector that plugs in between the harness and the taillights for the
easiest headache proof solution. If they don't carry what you need contact
the local U-Haul dealer.
