Will the 1.7's move the power band up at all?
If I wanted a slightly more aggressive cam in that 408, what would you (or
anybody) recommend? Nothing too radical, it's a daily driver and not raced.
It has an M1, ported stock heads, headers, 27.5" tires on 4.10's.

The 1.7s will give you some more outta the cam--- that's a mild cam, the
1.7s will wake it up.
I run 1.7s on a cam built to nearly your specs (but based on the 1.7
ratio)... Puts down 300 rwhp on a 360. Use correct pushrod length, etc. and
you should be fine.
