Permanent belly pan fix

Rats... my '95 has started pinging again. :-(

I know it needs new plugs and probably a good throttle body cleaning, but
I'm guessing there's a good chance the belly pan gasket has gone bad for
the second time. I'll take a look to be sure.

In the mean time, wasn't there a permanent fix for these? I couldn't find
a definitive answer in the archives, other than going to an MPI intake
(too bad mine's a V6).

Thanks.
