You found the key already. The TV requires less resolution. You won't
be as happy with it as you will be a true LCD meant for the computer.
Biggest things to look for are dead pixels (look online for information
on how many people have pixels go dead after a while), response time
(lower is better), and contrast ratio (higher is better). Also, if you
can swing it, get an LCD with DVI input, and a video card that does DVI
out. Much better image that way.
