Yep, shooting is definitely one of those "safety first" sports; a small
lapse in judgement or concentration can have serious consequences.

Heh! Propane residue - I love it! :-)

Yeah, I remember that trip, now that you mention it. (Well, I don't
remember the trip itself, I remember when you went on it...) :-) That
pretty much proves it can be done anyway. :-)

Unlike the DML. ;-) Hopefully we won't get kicked out. :-)
It would be nice to find a location that would also be as non-annoying
as possible for the other campers. (We'll call them "innocent bystanders")
;-)

What would be really cool is if we could get away from an organized
campground altogether, or find one that is spread out over many acres
with private sites far enough from other people that we won't be
running across them. What I think would be ideal, from that
perspective is to have the base camp just be on public land somewhere.
Unfortunately, that would result in no amenities like access to a
shower, RV hookups for you and something like a toilet and running
water would be kinda nice too. :-) I suppose a compromise might
be a campground with a private site large enough for the entire
group, which has an RV hookup, and a shower/restroom not too far
away, perhaps backed up to public land which we could use for our
rowdy recreational activities. :-) Oh and of course, the public
land would have to have nice topography, mountains and waterfalls,
birds that land on your shoulder, chipmunks that eat out of your
hand, and rivers flowing with gold. What? :-)
