Welp, the DAKSY is on a 10-day temp NYS Inspection - because of the new
computer system...
Brought her in last week - WITH the MIL - I couldn't clear it with the neg.
disconnect & the key "on" method.
Local repair shop; good guys; GREAT mechanics...Younger fella races on the
local circuit & builds & races his own car....
Ennyhoo, I left him with the FSM & the DAKSY & told him what I thought the
codes were...He thought maybe a Stant 195 would clear the P1281 & cleaned
the filler pipe seating surface & wiped the gas cap O-ring to try to clear
the P0442(for starters)...
The MIL is out but the OBDII scanner said I've got 4 systems that are "not
ready!"
(Cat; Evap Sys; O2 Sensor & O2 Sensor Heater)
WTF??!?!?
So he gave her back to me yesterday about 1PM & told me to drive her...
Seventy miles later I brought her back & with NO MIL, she failed again!
OBDII indicated 3 systems weren't ready....Cat; O2 Sensor & Evap...
So our 70 mile jaunt cleared 1 code....*sigh*
He told me to drive under the temp insp for the 10 days & bring her back
in...
If she doesn't pass THIS time I guess I'll hafta piggy-back the Insp/Repair
on with the ball joint recall...
I love my DAK, but I'm startin to get sick of the monthly nickel-and-dime
stuff that's costing me hundreds that I should be putting into the A-frame!
I'm done for now...
