Actually, the Lincoln fan is a different beast than the viper. The Lincoln fan
is designed as a variable fan from the beginning, unlike the viper which is
designed as a 2 speed fan, IIRC. I agree that the viper will probably have
problems in that setup. The Lincoln will not. People have been running them on
stangs for years with no problems, and most of them are using junkyard fans to
begin with. However, for a Dak there is a little more fabrication needed -
relocating coolant bottles, etc. The beauty on a Stang is that everything
practically bolts right up. Even the stock coolant bottle will fit nicely on
the shroud in a stang. The 35amp unit will run a Lincoln fan with no problems,
it was designed specifically for it. The higher amp unit he sells is better
suited for running both an electric fan and a water pump. When I ordered mine I
did a fair bit of research on these fans and the controller in question.

Additionally, having it 'under power' the fan on less demanding isn't a good
thing. Providing LESS amerage to the Viper fan will burn it up (I've done it
on a test vehicle)... Might work ok for 6 months, but you'll eventually cook
the fan (burns up the windings)...

fit, or fiddle with the wiring).
